Each workout is designed to be quick and effective, lasting just 60 minutes. We know your time is valuable, which is why each workout is structured to give you maximum impact in a short amount of time. Plus, it’s fully customizable—so if you're pressed for time, you can easily adapt the session to fit your schedule without compromising your results.
How Our Strength Workouts Are Structured
Our strength workouts are designed to maximize efficiency and help you reach your goals, with each phase serving a specific purpose to enhance your fitness.
Phase 1: Dynamic Warm-up
We begin with a dynamic warm-up, typically lasting 5-10 minutes. This phase raises your heart rate and body temperature, loosens up key joints and muscles, and reduces the risk of injury. By preparing your body for the work ahead, the warm-up ensures you get the most out of every session.
Phase 2: Strength
Next, we move into the strength phase, where you’ll perform three main compound movements across 3-4 sets. These exercises, such as squats, presses, pulls, hinges, and carries, target multiple muscle groups at once. The focus here is on building functional strength, improving overall power, and enhancing your body’s ability to perform both in and outside the gym.
For those looking to add an athletic edge, there’s the option to incorporate explosive movements—like jumps or medicine ball throws/slams—during this phase. These movements focus on improving fast-twitch muscle and power, making them perfect for anyone wanting to develop power and strength simultaneously.
Phase 3: Hypertrophy or Endurance
After the strength phase, you’ll move into a customizable segment that lasts 20 minutes and can be tailored to your personal goals. If your goal is to build muscle mass, you’ll focus on hypertrophy with slower, controlled movements that target specific muscles to increase size. If your goal is toning and fat burning, you’ll focus on endurance with higher repetitions and lighter weights, keeping your heart rate elevated to burn fat and improve muscular endurance.
Phase 4: Cooldown

Seamless Onboarding for New Clients
Starting something new can feel overwhelming, but our 3-Workout Onboarding Process is designed to make it simple, ensuring you feel confident and ready to succeed from day one. Here’s how we help you get comfortable with both the workouts and the app:
Step 1: Download the App
We’ll assist you in downloading the Tucson Sports Performance app and show you how to use it to track your progress, select exercises, and navigate the workout structure. The app will be your personal guide, making it easy to follow along both in and outside the gym.
Step 2: Get Comfortable
During your first three sessions, you’ll be introduced to the core workout types—Lower Body, Upper Body, and Total Body. In each session, our coaches will guide you through the app and the workout format, ensuring you're comfortable choosing your exercises and following the structure. We’ll focus on technique and progression, giving you the tools to customize each session to your goals.
Step 3: Flexibility After Onboarding
Once you’ve completed the onboarding process, you’ll have the freedom to choose any workout—Lower Body, Upper Body, Total Body—on any day we offer strength classes. You’ll be fully equipped to come in, select your exercises, and excel, with ongoing support from both the app and our expert coaches.
